Hey there! I’m Brittany, the Krazy Dog Lady, and I’m here to share a bit of my story, a story filled with furry friends, unexpected twists, and an unwavering passion for making every wag a tail-wagging adventure.
I was born and raised on Long Island, New York, where my love for animals blossomed early on. My first dog was a tiny, abused pup my sister brought home from a friend’s vet. Despite my mom’s allergies, we couldn’t resist this little guy with a broken leg and jaw. He became our family, a tiny human baby in fur, and we showered him with love.
But life, as it often does, took a turn. While in college, my first dog tragically escaped and was struck by a car. It was a devastating loss that left a deep void in my heart.
Years later, after welcoming my first daughter, I found myself drawn back to the companionship of dogs. We adopted our first family dog, and our mutual love for all things furry flourished.
We moved from Long Island to Cleveland, Ohio, and then on to Elyria, where we found our forever home. We searched for a house that checked all the boxes: beautiful, great location, safe for our kids, and – most importantly – a place where we could create a haven for dogs. We were lucky enough to find a place that met all our needs and then some.
A Journey of Love, Loss, and Second Chances
But our journey wasn’t without its challenges. I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and ended up in the hospital for two months, with my daughter born prematurely four months early.
I went back to work full-time, but my life became a whirlwind of hospital visits, late nights, and barely seeing my older daughter. It was an incredibly difficult time, and despite my employer’s attempts to be accommodating, the circumstances were too much. My baby was so fragile, and I knew I couldn’t give her the care she needed while working.
I left my job, relying on one income, and started walking dogs as a side gig. One day, a client asked if they could leave their dog at our house for a few days. That simple question sparked an idea: what if I could offer boarding and daycare?
As more people asked, I realized I could turn my love for dogs into something more. We officially started Krazy Dog Lady, LLC, and it’s been an amazing journey ever since. We’ve since adopted the second dog we ever cared for (three years later!), plus 2 more boarders, and many of the dogs we’ve looked after back then are still coming to visit. We have people driving over an hour to bring their furry family members to us, knowing they’re safe and having a blast!
A Home for Everyone – Cats Included!
While I’m known as the Krazy Dog Lady, our love doesn’t stop there. We recently adopted two cats, Salem and Selene. Salem is a total dog at heart, blending seamlessly into our canine crew.
Our home is a haven for all animals, a place where every wag, purr, and cuddle is cherished. We are committed to providing a loving, safe, and fun environment for every furry friend who walks through our door.
We are so grateful for the journey that led us to where we are today, a journey filled with love, loss, second chances, and an unbreakable bond with the animals who have enriched our lives.
For years, I cared for pets myself, relying on close friends and family. But through those experiences, I witnessed firsthand the dedication and attention to detail required to truly spoil furry loved ones. I saw some less-than-ideal situations, and it ignited a passion within me to offer something different.

I dreamt of a haven – a safe, loving environment where every dog thrives, whether on an exciting first stay or a familiar return visit. This passion led to the foundation of We Can Keep Them Happy, where we prioritize quality over quantity, ensuring each guest receives personalized attention and care.
We offer a variety of services, including:

- Dog Walking: We provide personalized walks that keep your pup happy and active.
- Pet Sitting: We offer in-home care, ensuring your pet stays comfortable and content while you’re away.

We’re currently on an exciting mission: expanding our haven into a true canine paradise! We’re searching for a spacious new home with ample land, creating a haven with:
